I have been invited to an Action Research Group headed up by UAL Online and Georgia Steele. The action research group is divided into 4 groups which will explore 5 key themes including: Flexability, Access, Inclusion, Belonging and Embodied Practices. I have chosen Embodied Practices, which I think fits absolutely perfectly with my current disposition, studying and teaching in a blended mode environment.
Of course, I would have absolutely loved to been involved in every other group too, but had to prioritise what my current schedule enabled me to be part of.
The resource sharing and collaborative thinking in the group is absolutely phonemenal and I feel so lucky to be part of the group. I frequently take screenshots to save for later, to go back over all the things we explored. It’s so great to learn more from other UAL colleagues about their feelings around working, teaching and learning in an environment where we are getting to grips with the divisions between our mind and body, and where our practice fits in.

Often, we discuss where student experience overlaps with pedagogy. We are putting together a collection of research questions with the aim of answering and conducting further research towards.
I am also thoroughly enjoying learning more about how Miro can be used, for group collaboration and how it can involve a large group of people simultaneously and seamlessly.
I really like watching the number of post-it notes grow, as it builds momentum and makes me feel more confident in posting myself.

Miro works really well to visually track movement and progress in exploring a theme. I will begin to think about how I could include this in my future blended teaching.

I absolutely love too, that I can also take a look at the other groups Miro progress and see what themes, resources and experiences they have shared. To be honest, being part of the Action Research Group and doing the PGCert is a match made in heaven, it fits so well.
I am looking forward to how the group progresses and will update this blog-post with any developments.
